ORA System – Providing Better IOL accuracy for Cataract Surgery

No More “Wait and See” Cataract Surgery!

What is the ORA System with VerifEye?

ora

Up until this point, cataract surgeons have had to rely on measurements performed in the clinic prior to cataract surgery to calculate which intraocular lens (IOL) to use and how much astigmatism to correct for their patients. ORA-guided cataract surgery enables our surgeons to measure the eye and refine visual outcomes during the procedure, rather than having to ‘wait and see’ weeks or even months afterward, as with traditional cataract surgery. ORA technology is an optional intraoperative measurement used to guide the cataract procedure and increase the chance that patients get the best possible vision.

“ORA measurements are taken after the clouded cataract is removed when the surgeon has a clear view of the eye. ORA-Guided cataract surgery is compatible with all premium lens implants and technologies. Patients can feel more confident they’ll receive the best possible result, no matter what premium cataract procedure they select.”

The ORA system connects right to the operating microscope. This makes it easy to activate the machine at the correct moment in surgery and the resulting calculations give us additional data to help our patients achieve their visual goals.

Benefits of the ORA System™

  • The ORA System™ may help your cataract surgeon achieve better results and provide you an improved quality of vision.
  • The ORA System™ gives your cataract surgeon an added level of confirmation for an optimal outcome.
  • If you have astigmatism, the ORA System™ may improve the accuracy of your correction to help reduce the chance you’ll need to wear eyeglasses after your procedure.
