The staff was great and Dr Wolf took the time to go over everything and just made it real easy and st ease about cataract surgery. Yesterday, Wednesday, July 16 at 2 o’clock. I checked in for my cataract surgery. Everyone was really nice. I had been called the day before about payment of the cataract surgery just to get it taken care of and the gal that I spoke with Sally was really nice and sweet and just really helpful and we got it taken care of quickly so I checked in and then I just waited and it was probably 25 to 30 minute or so wait before I actually got in to the surgery center itself and into a room with a couple machines in a chair and a nurse met me at the door as I came in and she was gonna be a nurse for The Check-in was her name. Really really nice and really helpful and answered all my questions told her my concern about my system and the problem with anesthetics that get processed really fast through my system. She said don’t worry about it. They’ll take care of it and if you feel anything at some point, you gotta let them know right away so they can take care of that I said OK so then they hooked me up to these machines and they took my sugar down since I’m prediabetic and it was fine. Little while after that they got me set up to have an IV and I asked for it in my left hand and they were able to do it without any trouble And then shortly after that I was taken back for the surgery and it seemed to go really well the last couple minutes I felt some pressure from their tools so I don’t know if I was starting to clear up from being numb. I didn’t say anything until after it was all over But they told me I should have said something and they would’ve stopped and give me more numbing medicine if they needed to to make it comfortable for me which I very much appreciated. After the surgery, I met with Dr. Laura McKnight, who is also my regular eye doctor and she went over everything with me said everything looked good. Told me when I could drive. Give me a pair of very big duty sunglasses that it made to protect my eye from the glare and the heat of the sun. After that, Dr. Laura said I was good to go and that she would see me next week for an eye appointment to check and see how things are going. She said in a few days I should notice some small changes to my left eye in Vision and getting stronger and easier to see And also after the 24 hours when the anesthesia was out of my system as well then I could drive. So all in all thank you Dr. Laura thank you Dr. Wolff and thank you to your staff for a great experience and I think I believe is going to be a successful one too. Dr. Westafer did my eye surgery. I have more light in my right eye and I can see better despite my severe opitic nerve damage.
